Getting a diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes (whether you may have any obvious Diabetes Symptoms or not) can really hit you on the side of the head. Many sufferers with Diabetes Type 2 find themselves sitting on the couch staring at the wall. How did it really happen? Why did it happen? Where do you go from here? All of these are common questions that those with a new diagnosis ask. They now suddenly must step into a whole new world of medical terms and testing. In order to stay on top of their disease, they now must start making changes to their lives. It can be very overwhelming for anyone. It can also be overwhelming for members of their family as well.
So, how do you deal with this diagnosis of Type two diabetes? If you are having real issues with the diagnosis, seek the help of a trained therapist. They can help you work through the emotional issues that come up after a diagnosis. Possibly seeking the help of a religious leader or teacher is yet another way to deal with it. Many newly diagnosed people with Type Diabetes 2 find a high level of comfort in joining support groups designed just for sufferers with Type 2 Diabetes in a similar situation. Getting some help from others is definitely not a sign of weakness. It is definitely a strong message to oneself that you will not be defeated in the face of this disease.
Another way to cope with your diagnosis of type 2 diabetes is self-education. In order to stay ahead of this disease getting accurate information is essential. Find leading resources in the field on the web and start finding out more about the disease. What causes it? How does one treat it? There is a variety of treatment options out there. The good news is many sufferers with Type Diabetes 2 find they can address their Type two Diabetes naturally with a Type two Diabetes patient’s diet plan and exercise. Others may require tablets or insulin. Some people have dramatically improved through a vigorous regime of diet changes and specific exercises. Getting more information never hurts.
A final way to cope with your diagnosis of type 2 Diabetes is to do nothing about it. Ignoring something apparently makes it seem to disappear. You can stay at home and deal with the rising problems that will follow. You may face severe nerve damage and blood circulation problems that may lead to amputation. You will face increased risks for heart disease that could lead to heart attack or stroke. People with Type 2 Diabetes will eventually face death at a much earlier point and leave their family devastated. It is an option that some choose to follow. However, is it the right one?

Hi! My name is Cynthia. I have Pseudotumor Cerebri (Benign Intrcranial Hypertension). I have a Lumber Shunt in my back. It has not worked in 2yrs now. I have been trying to get the doctors to beleive me That it was not working. I could tell by the amout of pain I am in & now again losing more vison. Finally, In Janurary I found a Neurosurgeon that would fix my shunt. My husband & I were so happy that after all this time a doctor listened & said ” YES” that he would fix it. So now to the video! On Jan. 25, He went in to replace the shunt & couldn’t. The old shunt is now fused to my spine. So he had to put in a new one. Then on Jan. 31, that shunt came apart & was draining fuild on my spine. The fuild should drain into my abdomen. He told us that he has never had that happen before. So on Feburary 5, he went back in & had to fix it. Now it is draining on my spine again. I am in a lot of pain in my back & abdomen. The hospital & the surgeon say that it is ok that my body will absorb it. This ball of fuild has not gone down & now it is at the largest size we have seen so far. I’m not sure how much longer I can wait. They seem to think that nothing is worng. I can’t get any help. So we are at a stand still. What am I to do if the doctors will not help me? I did end up going back. I let the same Dr. cut on me again. 4/20/2009. Things are going OK, but the didn’t put do on paper what happened & what went wrong. I think that sounds funny. Do you?
