There is a particular fitness myth that concerns treadmill workouts and the knees. Some people believe that running on a treadmill is not as hard on your knees as running on pavement, concrete, or asphalt. That is a definite myth that needs to get crunched right now. Your weight is forced upon your knees every time you run. Your knees will still experience that impact regardless of surface you are running on.

Regardless of the tiny bit of give a treadmill will give you your knees are still going t take the impact of your weight. Your shoes can help absorb some of this impact.

Sweat is another subject in this series. Working out is synonymous with sweat typically speaking. The opposite is also true for most. As you work out it’s important to note that sweat is nothing more than your body telling you it’s overheating and in need of cooling down. There is not a direct correlation between amount of sweat and degree of physical exertion.

You can in fact burn a lot of calories and never break a sweat. You can take a good walk and accomplish that.

At the end of the day it is expected that you will be tired but you should try to get some exercise done and you will feel better. If you know what your natural circadian cycle is you would be able to reset it. If you are working out early in the morning and your body is telling you it is too early just give it some time to adjust. Your mind is the one that is tired and resistant, but once you break through your resistance and do some exercise after work your body will have more energy. All fitness areas have some truth or myths associated with them. You can find them as general statements, or specifically related to certain types of physical exercise.
