I love these videos but I’m afraid of that thing flat-lining and hearing a loud “thump”. She’s playing with her heart in these videos; God forbid anything ever goes wrong.
@KarbineKyle
yeah, that’s reasonable… ritalin is a stimulant after all, i guess it would increase a panic disorder. but @ clonazepam and fentanyl – what the heck? why are you taking such incredibly addictive substances for panic disorder, when there are antidepressants that work well for panic disorder without being so insanely addictive? you’re taking a benzodiazepine (a substance like valium, withdrawl is about equal to alcohol addiction, can kill you) and an opiate there… that’s crazy.
Very Nice! 5/5! I love your experiments! Normally, my heart rate would be through the roof. I have Major Panic Disorder. I’m sure it would be extremely low from the medications I’m taking now. My parents put me on Ritalin when I was a kid, and I didn’t even have ADD/ADHD! It made ME psychotic! No wonder I was a nervous wreck all the time! I begged them to stop putting Ritalin down my throat, but they didn’t listen. Now I’m 26. I’m on Klonopin® (Clonazepam) and Fentanyl. Very Potent Depressants!
apart from that, both substances work for some people, and for others, they dont… so there’s no real “better” drug, it’s an individual choice. but yeah, amphetamine has more severe side-effects (also a “hangover”, mild to moderate depression when “coming down” is possible, which rarely occurs on ritalin, as it only works on dopamine and noradrenaline receptors, while amphetamine works on the two AND serotonine receptors, too).
well, ritalin would have fewer / less severe side effects on e.g. the heart than amphetamine (which adderall is), so i’d try ritalin first and only if that doesnt work, try adderall (and monitor your blood pressure and heart rhythm on both substances, though).
well, yeah, that happens, i heard. though with an SNRI (such as strattera) it is less common than aggression and psychotic behavior due to an SSRI (“common” antidepressant, such as zoloft or prozac). Eric was obviously on an SSRI when he decided it’s time to murder everybody at columbine high school, so yeah… gotta be careful with psychotrophic substances.
It made me so angry that I started kicking a hole in my door and throwing shit. If I got pissed at someone in traffic, I’d slam the accelerator and beat my fist against the driverside window. I also threatened to kill someone I hardly even knew.
I’m not the only case. I’ve read about kids as young as 10 (Why the hell would any parent put someone that young on powerful psych meds?) who would draw pictures of people dying when they were put on it…. yeah. Scary.
yeah the Stratterra makes me a little queasy sometimes too. My doctor is backing me off of the Stratterra now and having me start Adderall or Ritalin in about 3 weeks. I’m hoping to get better results. Do you know which is better?
hmm, yeah, strattera is atomoxetine, an SNRI, basically a type of antidepressant. i had a trial with reboxetine, a similar drug, and it only made me feel dizzy and queasy and horrible. it did make me calm, too, but didnt have too positive effects otherwise. that’s why i switched to taking stimulants now… i found ritalin to have hardly any side effects, pretty nice. amphetamine works better, but i get headaches now and then, and you gotta be careful not to “crash” with the rebound effect.
I’ve been taking Stratterra for 7 weeks now and I noticed too that it makes my body calmer but it doesn’t help my concentration. It does allow me to sit at my desk longer and lay down and relax longer.
I started taking Levodyn because i was keen to bring my blood pressure down without resorting to prescription medicine. i have been taking it for less than 4 weeks but have already noticed a change. Before taking Levodyn my blood pressure was 152/86, it is now 128/76. i am really impressed.
Tried strattera once for ADD – completely lost the ability to perform basic functions like adding two numbers together or to do word puzzles like crosswords.
As a techie it was scary. So scary I stopped pretty as soon as I could. It happened after the 3rd tier up-tick on dose start-up. Others I’ve talked to have had the same or similar unpleasant side effects.
hmm, atomoxetine and reboxetine are the same drug class, NRI… and i heard from quite a few people that mph has less side effects and works better, too. im really curious about it.
I stoped takeing my meds because risk that the drugs could make my heart stop
@Sub40H
, but yeah, that doesnt sound like fun. well, SNRIs seem useless, anyway.
not that i could be affected by this
Side effects: Hypertension + Dilation of the blood vessels…. aren’t they contradictory?
One of the more dreadful side effects of Reboxetine is Impotence.
No sir! Thank you!

adhd and add are fake aload of crap

Strattera is evil shit.
It made me so angry that I started kicking a hole in my door and throwing shit. If I got pissed at someone in traffic, I’d slam the accelerator and beat my fist against the driverside window. I also threatened to kill someone I hardly even knew.

yeah it its bullshit it makes me go nuts

yeah, strattera seems like pretty much bullshit to most people. i’m sticking with the phenylethylamines as well now, thank god… i mean, thank my doc.
Tried strattera once for ADD – completely lost the ability to perform basic functions like adding two numbers together or to do word puzzles like crosswords.

Keeps me on phenylethylamines instead.
How come some EKGs when they show a flatline has a 0 for the heart rate, but others have a down arrow?
