You state that you are overweight, with diet and exercise, losing some pounds could cause your blood pressure to decrease, less volume=less pressure. Lay off the salt, hidden salt, use frozen veggies instead of can veggies, soft drinks are also filled with sodium. Look at your food labels.
    Good Luck!

it doesnt have to be lifelong, but you will have to make changes to your lifestyle. it depends your age diet and smoking weight etc. if you smoke quit, eat a healthy diet and if you are overweight try to loose a little. and also relax! stress is also a big factor

Your main problem seems to be your diastolic pressure at 100 or 95 as your systolic at 120 or 115 is OK. Anything over 140/90 needs treatment.

There is actually one herb that really helps your diastolic pressure and that is garlic. If you take 6 high strength odourless 3,000 mg garlic oil capsules (Herron) every day you will be amazed at the improvement. You can find further information in a search for diastolic + garlic.

Many cases of hypertension have gone away by eating a good diet and losing weight. You should try that first for 3 months before starting the medications.
