if you eat foods that are high in cholesterol, for example, you add more “stuff” into your body that gets stuck around your blood vessels. The more that gets stuck in a certain area the less blood that area is receiving… so for example if a lot gets stuck in your heart vessels then there will be less blood getting to your heart which also means your heart will receive less oxygen and other nutrients that it needs to work properly
this also leads to hypertension because the stuff that got stuck is blocking the flow of blood… if you can imagine squeezing a balloon with air in it, its similar to that, the more you sqeeze the more pressure you put on the balloon until it just pops…. which one thing that can happen to a blood vessel if the hypertension isn’t controlled

I tried to make this really simple… hope it helps

Most of the contribution to coronary artery disease and hypertension is poor nutrition and unhealthy lifestyle.

Healthy nutrition consist of 3 good macro nutrients, good carbohydrate, good protein and good fat.

Good carbohydrate comes from high fiber complex carbohydrate. It’s low in sugar and low glycemic that means slow to turn to be glucose in our blood stream. For example: whole wheat bread, brown rice, vegetables except potatoes, corns and carrots. Fruits except canned fruit, dried fruit and other sweet fruits like banana, papaya and mangoes. Green apple or pear is about the best fruit for good carbs. Sugar, syrup, jam, marmalade, cake, cookies, chocolate, white bread and sweet fruit juice are among of bad carbs source.

Good protein is the good protein from sea foods, white meats and beans that low in bad cholesterol and contain good micro nutrients. For example: Chicken breast w/o skin, turkey, sea foods especially fish, beans and nuts.

Good fat, the fat that also low or free from bad cholesterol (LDL) and free from trans fatty acid – the most dangerous fat. For example: fish oil, extra virgin olive oil, grape seed oil and nuts.

Poor nutrition that means we consume bad carbs that high in sugar, it will ruin the blood chemical that produce glycation may potential to damage the artery wall and build atherosclerosis. Bad protein that contain high bad cholesterol also will risk artery plaque. Bad fat that may contain bad cholesterol animal saturated acid and trans fatty acid will also build toxic sludge in our blood stream wall and also can act as the free radical that may damage the healthy organ cells.

Those bad macro nutrients or poor nutrition for sure will contribute to coronary artery disease and hypertension. Let be wise to eat healthy nutrition, sufficient exercise and enough quality sleep at night. Keep living with healthy lifestyle.
